Yvette C. Rahming, is a smart and approachable Attorney-at-Law with a wealth of legal experience as a business executive and In-House Counsel/General Counsel. Prior to her life as an attorney she honed her business skills, starting and running a business consultancy, headhunting and virtual office firm long before The Bahamas was even aware of the benefits of virtual offices. Her strong business acumen is even further enhanced by her strong legal background having served first in a local boutique law firm where she took on a huge array of trial matters then serving for almost a decade as in house General Counsel, Executive and Assistant Corporate Secretary to APD Limited, the Owners and Operators of the Nassau Container Port, a publically listed, Blue Chip, port facility.
Her forte is Corporate Governance, Compliance, Quality, Employment Law and Environmental Health & Safety.
A business and legal professional who knows what is needed to ensure business success while meeting legal requirements. She has ensured that her clients receive the best contractual arrangements for its objectives. Having developed the Nassau Container Port’s policies and procedures along with contractual forms and standards, she has ensured that the facility remained best in class. She has applied and incorporated all the right protections to ensure her clients remain as protected as possible against claims of liability both for personal injury, property damage and employment disputes. She has worked closely with insurance brokers and underwriters regarding claims and also obtaining reductions/discounts in premium and holistic coverage for the client’s needs.
Yvette’s most notable strengths are her fortitude and smarts and ability to react intelligently and responsively to pressing and important business matters while giving pragmatic legal advice.
